Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust provides acute and specialist healthcare in north west London for around a million and a half people every year. Formed in 2007, it is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, with over 12,000 staff.
Covering five hospitals – Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and The Western Eye – Imperial has a long track record in research and education, influencing clinical practice nationally and worldwide. They also have a growing number of community services and provide private healthcare in dedicated facilities on all of their sites, including at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s.
With their partners, Imperial College London, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, ICHT form Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre. This is one of six academic health science centres in the UK, working to ensure the rapid translation of research for better patient care and excellence in education. Also a part of Imperial College Health Partners – the academic health science network for north west London is spreading innovation and best practice in healthcare more widely across the region.
